101 Things

I got bored and sad for a couple of days and now I am doing a bunch of stuff.

So one month after I went skiing (uh, memorably) for the first time, I skied my first black diamond run. It was an accident, really — we took a lift that we thought had a nice intermediate blue run, and then we were greeted at the top by a list of black diamonds. “Well, what do you want to do?” Eric asked me. And that is how I skied my first black diamond. No big deal. I asked Eric if I could check learning to ski off my list, and he pointed out it was a pretty easy black diamond. So we skied more black diamonds, and harder black diamonds, and we skied for hours in a storm and I decided I loved skiing. And Eric said yes, I could check it off the list.

And then this week we had a snowstorm in Seattle, and then we had an ice storm, and man, we are getting cabin fever around here. And the roommates and I, we start drinking, and we get ideas.

Would a person who doesn’t know how to ski do THIS?

I can ride chair lifts and light rail trains back up the hill, you guys.

I rest my case.
