101 Things

I got bored and sad for a couple of days and now I am doing a bunch of stuff.

When I put this list together, I tried to think hard about the people who are important to me, and what I might do that would make my relationships with them better. A few years back on a trip home to northern Minnesota, my stepdad and I spent an epic few days at our tiny log cabin, riding four-wheelers around in the woods and jumping in the lake at midnight and eating beer-battered fish and generally just having a great time. Since then, he’s been trying to get me to come home in the middle of winter, so we can do essentially the same thing, only with snowmobiles instead of four-wheelers (and presumably without jumping in the lake). I have been… resistant to the idea of taking a vacation to Minnesota in the dead of winter, but when I started making the list, I started to see the importance of that plan.

About three days after I put together my list, my stepdad called me and said hey, if I bought you a plane ticket to Bozeman, would you want to meet up and go snowmobiling for a few days around Yellowstone?
